Terms of Service

1. About SideQuest

SideQuest is a centralized mobile platform that connects students with peer-to-peer services. The platform enables individuals ("Users") who offer services ("Student Providers") to connect with individuals seeking services ("Student Clients").

SideQuest does not provide services directly. We act solely as a technology platform that facilitates connections and payments between Users.

2. Eligibility

To use SideQuest, you must:

  • Be at least 16 years of age
  • Be a currently enrolled student at a college or university
  • Have the legal capacity to enter into binding agreements
  • Provide accurate and truthful registration information
  • Use a valid student email affiliated with a participating campus

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts at our discretion.

3. User Accounts

You are responsible for:

  • Maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials
  • All activity that occurs under your account
  • Providing accurate profile and service information

SideQuest may suspend or remove accounts that:

  • Provide false or misleading information
  • Engage in fraud, harassment, or illegal activity
  • Violate campus policies or applicable laws

4. Services & Marketplace Disclaimer

SideQuest:

  • Does not employ Student Providers
  • Does not guarantee the quality, safety, or legality of services
  • Does not supervise, direct, or control service delivery
  • Does not verify professional licenses unless explicitly stated

All service agreements are strictly between the Student Client and the Student Provider.

SideQuest is not responsible for:

  • Service performance or outcomes
  • Injury, damages, or losses
  • Disputes between Users

Users assume full responsibility when engaging in transactions.

5. Payments & Fees

  • Payments are processed through third-party providers such as Stripe
  • SideQuest may charge service fees, commissions, or withdrawal fees
  • All applicable fees will be disclosed prior to transaction confirmation
  • Payments are final unless otherwise stated in our Refund Policy

We reserve the right to modify fees with prior notice.

6. Cancellations & Refunds

  • Student Providers may set their own cancellation policies

Refunds may be issued if:

  • Services are not delivered
  • Fraud is verified
  • Required by law

SideQuest reserves the right to resolve disputes at its sole discretion.

7. Prohibited Activities

Users may not:

  • Offer or request illegal services
  • Sell or distribute controlled substances or weapons
  • Engage in harassment, discrimination, or cyberbullying
  • Use the platform for fraudulent, deceptive, or harmful activities, including targeting or setting up individuals under false pretenses
  • Post false or misleading reviews
  • Circumvent the platform's payment system
  • Violate campus housing or safety policies

Violations may result in immediate account termination.

8. Safety Disclaimer

SideQuest does not conduct background checks unless explicitly stated. Users are responsible for:

  • Meeting in safe, appropriate locations when applicable
  • Verifying identities before engaging in services
  • Taking reasonable safety precautions

Use of the platform is at your own risk.

SideQuest promotes a respectful and community-driven environment. Users are expected to engage with integrity, professionalism, and mutual respect to foster personal growth, communication skills, and positive campus interactions.

9. Ratings & Reviews

  • Users may leave reviews based on actual service experiences
  • We reserve the right to remove fraudulent, abusive, or misleading reviews
  • Reviews reflect individual opinions and not those of SideQuest

10. Intellectual Property

All branding, logos, designs, and platform content are the property of SideQuest. Users may not:

  • Copy, distribute, or reproduce platform content
  • Reverse engineer any part of the platform

without prior written permission.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, SideQuest shall not be liable for:

  • Indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
  • Lost profits or data
  • Personal injury or property damage
  • User misconduct

Our total liability shall not exceed the amount paid by you to SideQuest within the past three (3) months.

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless SideQuest, its founders, employees, and affiliates from any claims, damages, or disputes arising from:

  • Your use of the platform
  • Services you provide or receive
  • Violations of these Terms

13. Dispute Resolution

  • Disputes must first be addressed through informal negotiation
  • If unresolved, disputes will be settled through binding arbitration in the State of Oklahoma
  • You waive the right to participate in class-action lawsuits

14. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account at any time for violations or business reasons. You may delete your account at any time if you do not agree with these Terms.

15. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to update or modify these Terms at any time. Continued use of the platform constitutes acceptance of those changes.

16. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by the laws of the State of Oklahoma, without regard to conflict of law principles.

17. Restricted Content

The following content is strictly prohibited:

  • Any form of child endangerment or exploitation
  • Promotion or facilitation of illegal activities
  • Access by individuals who are not currently enrolled students

Violations will result in immediate and permanent removal.

18. Impersonation Policy

Impersonation of any individual or existing user is strictly prohibited. Users may build their personal brand; however, falsely representing yourself as another individual or established user is not allowed.

19. Platform Use Restrictions

SideQuest may not be used to:

  • Distribute or install external applications
  • Promote gambling, betting, raffles, or similar activities

20. Enforcement Process

SideQuest reserves the right to review and take appropriate action against any account that violates these Terms.

Users are strongly encouraged to read and understand all policies before using the platform. By using SideQuest, you agree to comply with all rules and standards outlined herein.
